Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is currently readying itself to launch a new MacBook in its lineup of products and the new laptop is expected to have an ultra thin design, and a high resolution retina display. The term retina is used by Apple to tell of screens that have pixels that cannot be distinguished by the human eye.

The MacBook pro will have a 15 inch design, and it will not adopt the tapered design of the MacBook Air, but will be much thinner, and it will also get rid of the optical drive in order to achieve this goal. Furthermore, the power button, that is usually located on the top right of the keyboard will be removed, and it will be placed on the keyboard itself- copying the current design on the MacBook Air.

Other great features that will be found on this laptop are a high resolution retina display, which according to the report will almost be similar to the display that is currently found on the iPhone 4S/4, and the new iPad. In fact, sources say that the new display will be jaw dropping, and users will have the option of adjusting the sharpness that they want on the screen.

It is assumed that the Ivy Bridge processors will be used on the new MacBook Pro and USB 3.0 will be built in, and this means that users will be able to transfer data up to ten times faster than the USB 2.0. However, the Thunderbolt will not be replaced but will run side by side with the new port. The graphics processor is assumed to be an NVidia GeForce GT 650M.

The new notebooks from Apple could also come in the market with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, the next generation operating system from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).

With the release of the new MacBook, it is expected that Apple will increase its shipments for the MacBook by more than 50%. This will be much higher than the 10% increase in shipments that will be realized by the rest of the notebook market. Therefore, suppliers are eagerly waiting for the launch of the new notebook from Apple.

The new laptops are expected to hit the markets in June, but for now, Apple remains mum on the release date of their latest products.
