Apple To Unveil An Updated Version Of Its Full-Sized iPad At 23rd Oct.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) can announce a new refreshed version of its 9.7-inch Retina display iPad at the media event on October 23rd, according to the sources of 9to5Mac. The new iPad won’t receive any significant design changes though.

The new refreshed iPads will be available at the same prices of $499, $599, and $699 for WiFi only model and the LTE models will cost $629, $729, and $829. There are no price changes or changes in storage capacity at this stage. This refresh would come in roughly half a year after the launch of third-generation of iPad (also known as the new iPad).

This new iPad will be just a tweaked model and not a complete revamp. The new iPad will come with a smaller Lightning connector just like the iPhone 5, fifth generation of iPod touch and the seventh-generation iPod nano. The LTE support will also be tweaked, like the iPhone 5. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) can also use this opportunity to upgrade other parts such as screen, battery, processor, etc but it is very unlikely that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) can do something like this though.

While an analyst from Evercore Partners believes that Apple may phase out iPad 2 after the launch of its mini iPad.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s media event is scheduled for October 23rd, at 10:00AM PST. Stay tuned on ValueWalk for details on the refreshed iPad, 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina display and the highly rumored iPad Mini.
