Michael Casey, top blockchain author, MIT Senior Advisor, and Chairman of CoinDesk’s advisory board, is about to unveil a star studded board at the Global Blockchain Business Council’s (GBBC) “Blockchain Central” lounge on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. His speech is happening in less than an hour.

CoinDesk’s 2018 Board includes five men and two women, all with incredible backgrounds, that are charged with advising and framing the narrative for CoinDesk’s flagship conferences, Consensus (May) and Consensus: Invest (November), supporting corporate growth and CoinDesk’s mission of leading the conversation around blockchain technology.

The 2018 Board will advise on the program at Consensus 2018 and other corporate strategic initiatives.

Davos, Switzerland – January 25, 2018 – CoinDesk, the world’s leading digital media and events company for the crypto asset and blockchain community, has today announced a star-studded advisory board at the Global Blockchain Business Council’s (GBBC) “Blockchain Central” lounge on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Unveiled on stage by Michael J. Casey, Chairman of CoinDesk’s Advisory Board, co-author of The Age of Cryptocurrency and its forthcoming sequel, The Truth Machine, and Senior Advisor at the MIT Media Lab’s Digital Currency Initiative, the board includes a hand-picked combination of leading men and women in the business, technology, nonprofit and media landscape.

CoinDesk’s 2018 Board of Advisors are:

Michael J. Casey, Chairman (Since September 2017);
Maja Vujinovic, CEO of OGroup and former CIO of Emerging Technology at GE (2018);
Mic Bowman, Principal Engineer at Intel (2018);
Balaji Srinivasan, CEO of Earn.com & Board Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (2018);
Simon Johnson, Professor of Global Economics at MIT (2018);
Pindar Wong, VeriFi Founder & Belt and Road Blockchain Consortium (2018); and
Jamie Smith, Global Chief Communications Officer of BitFury & CEO of the Global Blockchain Business Council (2018).

Together, the board will advise and help frame the narrative for CoinDesk’s flagship conferences, Consensus (May) and Consensus: Invest (November), support corporate growth, and fulfil CoinDesk’s mission of leading the conversation around blockchain technology. The board will also provide advice to CEO Kevin Worth.
