Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Concept Images Emerge

Updated on

Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 hasn’t been available for a huge amount of time, already rumors are emerging about the Galaxy Note 6. This will be a major phablet release for Samsung in 2016, and a critical one considering the fact that the Galaxy Note series has been critically acclaimed in recent iterations.

Galaxy Note 6 concept

With this in mind, concept designers are already working hard on imagining what the Galaxy Note 6 will look like when it is released, and one such perception has been released this week. Mesut G. Designs will be a familiar name to followers of the mobile phone marketplace, and this familiar moniker is the source of new Galaxy Note 6 concepts.

Although the information included in concept designs frequently doesn’t come to fruition, at the same time they can be an excellent source of giving ideas and insight into what companies may offer in the future. And the Mesut G. Designs concept is particularly tantalizing, as not only have images been produced, but the concept design is also accompanied by a video.

It is also notable that this latest concept has been produced in collaboration with JustChris. The two designers have cooperated in order to produce this imagination of what Samsung may produce in the future.

The two designers imagine that the Galaxy Note 6 could include a white edition of the handset. This is interesting as Apple has attempted to expand the number of colors that the iconic iPhone is available in recently. It seems that according to these concept designs that Samsung will consider a similar process in the next Galaxy Note 6 generation.

Stylus redesign

One of the images also features a brand new stylus for this market-leading tablet. This is an interesting notion, as Samsung has particularly identified the Galaxy Note range in previous releases by the inclusion of the S-Pen. Mesut G. Designs and JustChris clearly believe that it is time for Samsung to soup up its nonetheless lauded S-Pen.

The concept images also significantly feature a metal build, while the familiar Home button is also present. This indicates that the concept designers believe that the Samsung will maintain this aspect of the Galaxy Note series when the Galaxy Note 6 is released.

There have already been a lot of rumors which suggest that Apple could consider abandoning the Home button when the iPhone 7 is released, with analysts believing that it is possible that the consumer electronics giant will rely on 3D Touch functionality alone. Evidently, Samsung will not be tempted to follow suit, although opinions differ on whether Apple will opt for this radical move itself.

In these new images of the Galaxy Note 6, it is also notable that there are two speakers located along the bottom edge of the device. Music could become increasingly important in the next phablet generation, with Apple placing a particular emphasis on this aspect of mobile technology considering its recent acquisitions and strategy.

USB Type-C hint

The concept images also hint at the suggestion that Samsung could include USB Type-C technology in the Galaxy Note 6. This appears to feature on the same page as the speakers, indicating that Samsung could consider this flexible recharging technology for the next generation phablet.

In terms of design, the concept suggests that the Galaxy Note 6 will continue the recent smartphone obsession with slim designs. This is an extremely narrow and sleek smartphone concept, with minimal bezels featured to the sides of the display. Anyone who has purchased a Samsung television in recent years will note that this is very much a design that the manufacturer has incorporated into it televisual products.

This is quite telling, as other aspects of its successful television business have previously migrated into the Galaxy mobile range, most notably the curved screens that have become a huge success for the corporation. Samsung increasingly makes its name by selling screen technology, and has indeed been the largest manufacturer and seller of television sets since 2008.

Galaxy Note 6 specs

The only aspect of the Galaxy Note 6 that is conspicuous by its absence in this particular concept design is any form of specifications. It must be said that at this juncture any such spec lists would be rather speculative, but it is still possible to look at industry trends and conceive what Samsung may include in the Galaxy Note 6 when it is released.

So it is particularly possible that the Galaxy Note 6 may be the first 4K resolution device released by Samsung, and this will become something approaching a certainty should the technology not be included in the Galaxy S7 early next year. With Sony having already debuted 4K technology in the Xperia series, Samsung will want to follow suit as soon as possible, and the Galaxy Note 6 phablet which is becoming associated with outstanding specs could be the obvious candidate.

In the meantime, Samsung fans can look forward to interesting releases in the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note ranges next year.
