Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s Asian partners will start the production of the iPhone 6 in May, claims Chinese analyst Sun Changxu. He said the device will be announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June this year. Changxu’s claim is in line with what sources have told Jefferies analyst Peter Misek about the iPhone 6 launch. Predictions of the two analysts contrasts with multiple other reports that Apple will release the iPhone 6 in September.

Tim Cook hints at mobile payment tech in iPhone 6

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO recently hinted that the iPhone 6 will feature mobile payments technology that will revolutionize the way you pay to buy stuff. The Cupertino-based tech giant already has credit card data of hundreds of millions of iPhone and iPad users. But its payment service has been limited to iTunes. Experts say Apple has immense opportunities in the mobile payments industry.

The iPhones so far have lacked a critical thing: a long battery life. But the iPhone 6 is rumored to have solar panels embedded around the sapphire screen to give the device a longer battery life. If that’s true, you won’t have to worry about finding the nearest wall socket every few hours. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has already invested $578 million GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:GTAT)’s Arizona plant that will produce sapphire glass. And the company has hired many experts in the solar industry to work on this project.

iPhone 6 to be your personal fitness expert

The iOS 7 came with major changes in user interface and graphics. But there is still room for improvement. That’s why analysts say the iPhone 6 will feature a whole new iOS 8 operating system. We reported a few days ago that the iOS 8 will have health and fitness monitoring app Healthbook as its key highlight. The app can measure your blood sugar, blood pressure, calories burned, miles walked, heart rate and many other thing. In short, it will be your personal fitness expert.

There have been reports that the iPhone 6 will have a slimmer body, and it could be titled iPhone Air. In fact, rumors suggest that it will be the thinnest device in the world with just 6mm thickness. At present, Huawei Ascend P6 is crowned as the world’s slimmest smartphone as it has a depth of 6.18mm. The iPhone 5S is 7.6mm thick. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is also expected to increase the internal storage capacity of iPhone 6 to 128GB. That’s a positive for users who load their smartphones with a lot of TV shows, movies, songs, music, photos and games.

Finally, and the biggest highlight, the iPhone 6 is expected to have a bigger screen which rivals Android devices that are selling like hot cakes. Insiders at Foxconn Technology Co., Ltd. (TPE:2354) have confirmed that the iPhone 6 will come in two different screen sizes, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. Recently, KDB Daewoo Securities reiterated the report of two screens.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares were up slightly to $502.40 in pre-market trading Tuesday.
