The 2014 Value Investing Congress will be held at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas April 2nd through 4th. This one-of-a-kind investing conference brings together more than 400 private value investors and finance and investment professionals for more than two days of valuable presentations, meetings and individual interaction. This year’s Value Investing Congress features many of the same engaging speakers who made the 2013 Congress such a smashing success.
Pre-conference workshop
This year’s 9th annual Value Investing Congress also includes a pre-conference workshop on Wednesday, April 2nd. At the workshop, four well-known value investing professionals will review key principles of value investing and share recent case studies. You will learn more about important value investing concepts such as intrinsic value, margin of safety and value traps. Workshop participants will also have a chance to ask questions and discuss specific companies of personal interest during the workshop.

The Value Investing Congress always attracts the brightest stars in the value investing universe, and 2014 is no exception. Attendees at the conference will get to hear from legendary value investors and financial professionals such as Eric Sprott (Sprott, Inc), Zeke Ashton (Centaur Capital Partners), Carlo Cannell (Cannell Capital), David Hurwitz (SC Fundamental), Lisa Rapuano (Lane Five Capital Management) and many others.
Value Investing Congress 2014 agenda
The VIC itself begins at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, April 3rd with a meet-and-greet continental breakfast and ends after the afternoon session and wrap up at 3:25 p.m. Friday April 4th. Both days of the Congress are filled to the brim with presentations by successful value investing professionals, most including recent examples and cases studies, as well as specific takeaways for value investors to apply in evaluating future investments.
According to the official VIC agenda, there are four two-hour poster sessions planned for Thursday, with the first beginning at 8:15 a.m.. A networking cocktail reception is also scheduled from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Three sessions are planned for Friday, with the first one kicking off after breakfast at 8:10 a.m. There will be a short conference wrap up after the Q&A from the last presentation Friday afternoon.
