Apple Could Introduce The iPad Mini At An Event Next Week

Big news for Apple fans, who have been patiently waiting for the iPad Mini all summer, you may not have to wait much longer. A new report from Fortune has surfaced that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has sent out invitations for an exclusive iPad Mini event next week, on Wednesday October 10. It’s predicted that the iPad Mini will be introduced at the event and subsequently become unveiled about a week later. Fortune’s source is unnamed.

We’ve heard many rumors regarding the iPad Mini all summer, and so far nothing has been confirmed by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).

Last month, there was a report from All Things D that said Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) would hold two different events for the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. The sixth generation smartphone has already been introduced and launched, now everyone is waiting for the next big gadget from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).

According to one report from last summer, the smaller version of the iPad will measure about 7.85 inches and feature a thinner screen frame with a larger display. It should also feature a resolution that’s very similar to the one featured on the iPad 2.

It’s predicted the the iPad Mini will hit stores on November 2nd, just mere weeks before the official holiday shopping season begins.

If the iPad Mini rumor is true, there’s a pretty good chance that it could be a very good holiday season for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). I think between the iPhone 5, iPad 3, and iPad Mini, the world’s most valuable company could break sales records.

The iPad Mini was designed to compete with the likes of lower-priced Android tablets, like Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) Nook.  Both stores have introduced enhanced versions of their popular tablet computer just in time for the holiday season, so it should get interesting to see which tablet garners the most sales this upcoming holiday season.
