Huawei Introduces 6 New Android Smartphones & Tablets

Huawei Technology Co Ltd (SHE:002502) is unveiling six new Android devices, including four smartphones and two tablet computers.

The company introduced their new products at a trade show in Berlin, along with a new software called Emotion. This program is actually a new user interface, which will make the whole user experience even easier.

Now for the details regarding the new Android devices:

The Ascend D1 Quad XL model features high-resolution 330 pixel-per-inch display(which measured 4.5 inches), 1.2GHz K3V2 ARM chip, 8MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front camera, and microSD card slot.

The Ascend G 600 features a 4.5 inch QHD display, 768MB of RAM,  8MP camera, Gorilla Glass screen, and 1.2GHz dual-core processor.

The Ascend G 330 comes with 512MB of RAM, dual-core 1.2GHz processor,  and 5MP camera.

The last new smartphone is the Ascend Y 201 Pro. It features  800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 3.5 inch display, and 3.2 inch camera.

The first new tablet unveiled is the MediaPad 10 FHD. This model has 1920×1200 inch display, 1.2 GHz quad core processor, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera,  and 1.3MP front camera.

The last tablet is smaller, with a seven-inch WSVGA touch screen. It also features 1.2 GHz single core processor, 1.2 GHz processor, port for MicroSD, 3.2 inch megapixel rear camera, HDMI, and USB 2.0.

All six devices run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software. These devices will go on sale in October. Although it’s highly unlikely Huawei will give Apple a run for their money, their new devices should provide a nice alternative.

Huawei Technology Co Ltd (SHE:002502) is a brand that’s not as known as well as say Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Samsung, or Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK), but that all could change in the near future, especially if some or all the new gadgets sell better than expected. These devices could prove to be an afforable alternative to Apple and Samsung products. I think the Ascend D1 and Ascend G 600 might prove to be strong competitors on the Android market, but anything is possible.
