PanGu Team Releasing iOS 10.3.1 Jailbreak After iOS 10.3.2 Is Out [RUMOR]

Updated on

If you’re a dedicated follower of iOS jailbreaking, then you will have heard of the PanGu Team. They’ve been at the heart of what’s good about freeing iPhone’s and iPad’s from Apple‘s firmware shackles for some time. Last year, they created a tool for iOS turning the long wait for a solution on its head. As for 2017, if the rumors are true, they could soon release an iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak.

The PanGu Team iOS 10.3.1 Jailbreak Rumor

Just last week, Monday 25th April, it came to light, via the below video that the PanGu team has plans. The video shows a demo version of the next possible jailbreak from the team. Originally posted to the Chinese social media site Weibo, rumors are now circling that the iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak is real.

They suggest the solution is ready, and will be launched as soon as iOS 10.3.2 is publically available to download. This it’s thought, is to ensure Apple can not plug the security holes that the PanGu Team has managed to manipulate. Meaning, that users will be able to take advantage of it before Apple closes the possibilities of jailbreaking.

The translated Weibo post reads as:

“If all things happen accordingly, then Apple should release iOS 10.3.2 to the public next week, but students (slang for followers of) looking to jailbreak should wait. Because @PanguTeam is planning to release an iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak tool (codenamed Janus), the average person would expect this tool to be released after iOS 10.3.2 is released to the public. Of course, once again, if you’re not on iOS 10.3.1 (implying if you are below iOS 10.3.1). You should probably not upgrade your firmware just in case this is an Oolong (slang for something being fake).”

Don’t Upgrade iOS

Now, if you have not upgraded to iOS 10.3.1 yet, and would like to take advantage of the solution when available. Do not upgrade to 10.3.1 yet, wait it’s safer to do so, just in case Apple finds a way to block it prior to release. That way you won’t be stuck on a firmware version that you can’t jailbreak. Additionally, it’s advisable that you don’t upgrade to iOS 10.3.2 straightaway when released.

Possible Device Compatibility

Wherever you go in life, and whoever you meet, now and then you will come across someone who thinks they have all the answers. In fact, the same can be said for some supposedly close to the PanGu team journalists. One such person has claimed that the iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak is ready now. We suggest, if you come across anything like this, ignore it, we at least don’t download an unofficial file. It goes without saying that there are a lot of people with nefarious intentions online, so be careful.

Now, if you’re wondering what iPhone’s and iPad’s may be compatible with the PanGu Team solution, these could be the ones to own.
