iPhone 5S Name Reportedly Confirmed

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will call their next smartphone iPhone 5S. Japanese mobile phone carrier KDDI’s official website let the name slip. This was discovered by Arigato-iPod.com. The revealed name has since been removed but it’s apparent that everyone knows.

TechKiddy added, “The device is expected to come with A7 chip which is almost 30% faster than iPhone 5 chip,Fingerprint sensor beyond Home Button,duel LED flash and availability in Four colors:Black,white,Graphite and Champagne color.While previous leaks and rumors also suggests that 128GB version will also be launched. The device is expected to be unveiled on September 10 in United States and on September 20 it may be unveiled in Japanese market.The rumored price of 32GB model will be $199.”

This report really isn’t surprising as we all expected Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to dub their next smartphone the iPhone 5S for a long time now. It’s still predicted that the new phone will be release around September 20th. NDTV Gadgets explained, “The iPhone 5S is expected to come with a brand new Apple chip, the A7, alongside 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM, retaining the form factor of the iPhone 5. A 128GB storage variant of the phone has also been rumoured. The iPhone 5S is likely to come with a larger f2.0 aperture compared to the iPhone 5, that comes with f2.4 aperture. It’s also likely to sport a fingerprint reader.”

There are also rumors of the iPhone 5C, which is set to be unveiled the same day Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) unveils the iPhone 5S. This phone will  be a little bit cheaper than the larger phone with a plastic body. It’s also predicted to come in a variety of colors much like the current iPod Touch. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) fans will have a choice for phones and this will better the company in competition against the likes of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG).
