In honor of the SEC allowing hedge fund ads we thought we would come up with our favorite slogans. However, we already sorta did some hedge fund ads a week ago and we did not want overkill. Richard Dukas, President and CEO of Dukas Public Relations, a financial public relations firm that represents hedge funds and asset managers, states:

“This ruling is decades overdue and will fundamentally change the way hedge funds portray themselves in public. Flying below the radar will no longer be in vogue – transparency and openness will be a key aspect of a hedge fund’s ability to attract capital.”

“Our clients have been speaking about this for years — and we know there’s a lot of pent up demand in the industry to begin marketing more aggressively in select markets.”

“As a general rule, hedge funds are very poor marketers and today’s ruling opens the door for them to be much more proactive and strategic in trying to attract new investors.”

“The overwhelming majority of hedge funds won’t advertise directly unless they are want to attract retail investors through alternative mutual fund products. Still, don’t expect to see the “Greenlight Capital” bowl on New Year’s Day.” Keeping an air of exclusivity is essential in maintaining a fund’s credibility in the market.”
