Yacktman Asset Management disclosed that its equity portfolio declared assets of approximately $23.95 billion for the third quarter ended September 30 based on its 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
The filing showed that Yacktman Asset Management acquired a stake in six new stocks, reduced its position across 26 companies, boosted its stockholdings in eight equities, and sold out its entire stake in two stocks.
Donald Yacktman is the president and co-chief investment officer of Yacktman Asset Management.
Yacktman’s largest stockholdings
During the third quarter, Yacktman Asset Management reported that its largest stockholding is PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP), which accounts 11.35% of its equity portfolio. The investment management firm owned more than 29 million shares of the beverage maker worth approximately $2.71 billion.
The shares of PepsiCo closed $96.73 per, up by nearly 1% on Tuesday. Over the past 52-weeks, the stock traded from $77.01 to $96.84 per share. PepsiCo gained more than 16% year-to-date.
Yacktman’s second largest stockholding is Procter & Gamble Co (NYSE:PG), which accounts 10.1% of its portfolio. The firm owned more than 28.9 million shares worth approximately $2.42 billion. The stock gained more than 8% year-to-date.
The investment management firm also owned more than 42.9 million shares of The Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:KO) and 61.1 million shares of Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) worth over $1.83 billion and $1.53 billion, respectively.
New stock acquisitions
Yacktman Asset Management’s new stock acquisitions include 34,164 shares of Computer Services, Inc. (OTCMKTS:CSVI).The company is engaged in delivering core processing managed services, mobile and internet solutions, payments processing and regulatory complains solutions for corporate and financial institutions.
Computer Services, Inc. (OTCMKTS:CSVI) traded $41a share on Tuesday. Over the past 52-weeks, the stock went up from $30.84 to $41.45 per share. The stock gained more than 23% year-to date. The company has approximately $579 million market capitalization.
The investment management firm also acquired 26,500 shares of America’s Car-Mart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRMT), an automotive retailer based in the United States. The stock traded from $34.56 to $45.94 per share over the past 52 weeks. The auto retailer gained almost 10% year-to-date.
Yacktman Asset Management also acquired 37,300 shares of MOCON, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOCO), 3,650 shares of Valmont Industries, Inc. (NYSE:VMI), 8,150 shares of Dreamworks Animation Skg Inc (NASDAQ:DWA) and 44,000 shares of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. (NYSE:MSO).
Increased positions
During the quarter, Yacktman Asset Management increased its stake in Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) by more than 3.2 million shares to over 30.92 million shares worth approximately $1.18 billion. The stock is the eight largest position of the firm in its portfolio.
Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) closed $39.13 per share on Tuesday. The company gained more than 16% in stock value over the past year.
The investment Management firm also boosted its position in Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOX) by more than 4.1 million shares to over 22.8 million shares with a market value of around $760.24 million.
Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOX) tumbled more than 3% to $31.99 per share on Tuesday. The stock lost more than 6% of its value over the past year. The company recently reported adjusted earnings of $0.39 per share in $7.06 billion in revenue for the third quarter. Its financial results were higher than the consensus estimates of $0.36 in earnings per share on $6.26 billion in revenue.
Yacktman Asset Management also bought additional 750,837 shares of Procter & Gamble Co (NYSE:PG). The stock closed $88.64 per share, up more than 1% on Tuesday. The company’s stock value increased more than 8% year-to-date.
