    I think not….

    After all who is responsible for;
    • The upkeep of your car… You or the mechanic?
    • What you order at a restaurant… You or your server?
    • Catching your flight… You or the pilot?
    • How you spend your money… You or your financial advisor?
    While the mechanic, server, pilot and financial advisor are significant participants in the examples above, the responsibility for the outcome falls on each of us to get it right.

    And so it should be in the workplace, with the employee, HR and leadership working as an alliance to improve engagement, moral and productivity.

    The key is to empower the employees to determine and make changes at the individual and team levels – and then the company improves holistically.

    Again – good stuff but let’s NOT assign ownership and accountability of this to HR….
