After taking two people into custody, the Secret Service is now trying to figure out if the items they threw over the fence at the White House are dangerous. At this point officials have not said when they will lift the lockdown. NBC News reports that neither suspect has been released yet. President Barack Obama isn’t at the White House today. The Secret Service says it has two people in custody after they locked down the White House for the second time in three days. Officials said the two suspects threw something over the fence which surrounds the White House. One reportedly threw something from the south side, and the other threw it from the north side, according to the Associated Press (via ABC News).

Suspects questioned at the White House

Secret Service detailed the suspects for questioning this afternoon. Officials told those in the West Wing to stay inside.

On Tuesday, the Secret Service locked down the White House again. That time is was because a vehicle followed the president’s motorcade, which was bringing the Obama daughters back home through the front gates. Officials charged the driver of that vehicle with unlawful entry, which is a misdemeanor.
