Tesla Motors Inc (TSLA) CEO Musk An “Exceptional Freak Of Nature”

So is Musk the next Steve Jobs? Nope. He’s better, according to a large number of people posting on question and answer site Quora.

The Internet loves Elon Musk

Alyson Shontell of Business Insider points to comments posted by Dolly Singh, who has worked with the Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO for many years. She actually works with him at SpaceX, another one of his current business success stories. Singh is the Head of Talent Acquisition at the rocket maker. In her post on Quora, she says he’s not only “brilliant, dynamic, characteristic,” but also “an exceptional freak of nature.”

According to Singh, Musk’s greatness goes behind Jobs’ greatness because he is not only extremely creative and innovative, but he can also build everything himself because he is also an engineer. In addition, he is very well-read. She said he has taught himself how to design and build rockets by simply reading books.

Musk is Jobs and… Von Braun, Hughes, Ford, Gates and more

Singh also said that Musk isn’t just comparable to Steve Jobs. She said he’s like Werner von Braun, Howard Hughes, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates “and every other badass all rolled into one.”

At this point about 1,200 people up-voted her response to the question about whether Musk is the next Steve Jobs.

Another response which has garnered a lot of attention goes through all the ways in which Musk isn’t Steve Jobs at all. More than 3,000 voters have up-voted this response, which lists things like patents, which Jobs loved and Musk hates. The writer certainly agrees with Singh, concluding that Musk is “far beyond and better than Steve Jobs ever was.”
