Avengers: Endgame is trending across the globe right now with fans making videos and organizing events around the movie. The best, however, is a website that allows fans to swap faces with their favorite Avenger character and create a GIF.
A GIF to celebrate Avengers: Endgame
The site goes by the name of “Avenge Them.” Although it is not an official Marvel product, it does borrow the technology found in the Morphin app, according to The Verge.
The website has 18 GIFs available as of now and all the characters perform impressive actions performed by them in the Marvel movies. There are a host of stars to choose from running from Captain Marvel, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and more.
The Avenge Them site takes about 30 seconds to process the photo of a user and put it in the superhero character performing the action. Once the process of converting the GIF into a 3D model is done, fans can download the GIF and share it on Twitter.
Avengers: Endgame inspires a meme as well
Marvel has been doing grandiose promotion of the Endgame for quite some time now with their breathtaking posters. The company launched 32 character posters of the Super Heroes featured in Avengers Infinity Wars with all of them draped with the phrase, “Avenge the Fallen.” Heroes featured in the posters are either in black or color, hinting the heroes that have fallen and heroes that would avenge them.

Posters released by Marvel are beautiful, crystal clear images of the superheroes. These posters became so popular that it inspired fans to start a viral Avenge the Fallen meme featuring random people and things, such as PSVITA.
Avengers: Endgame is also benefiting from other similar movies. One movie that has seen the direct positive sentiment from Endgame is Captain Marvel. The Oscar Winner Brie Larson movie has jumped to number four spot in the latest Fanticipation movie buzz index.
Massive demand from fans
Avengers: Endgame has sparked exactly the kind of interest that everyone was expecting. The movie was premiered in Los Angeles on Monday, and according to a report from Fandango, the three-hour superhero epic from Disney’s Marvel Studio has sold over 4,000 screenings in North America.
Theaters around the world are looking to arrange new show times to meet the demand of the fans. Avengers: Endgame is already leading the week’s pre-sale and is emerging to be the fastest pre-seller in the 19-year history of Fandango and is speeding to become an all-time pre-sale winner.
Some theaters are even planning to run round-the-clock screenings. One of the chains, AMC, announced that their 64 cinemas in major markets had sold all the tickets and the locations would screen the movie overnight.
According to The Wrap, Elizabeth Frank, EVP Worldwide Programming for AMC, said, “AMC guests have already purchased more tickets to ‘Avengers: Endgame’ than we’ve ever sold in advance of a film’s release – and our first shows aren’t until Thursday evening.”
Further, data from Fandango claims that over 97% of the fans are planning to watch Avengers: Endgame and that they stay for mid and post-credit scenes from Marvel. Around 79% of them expressed surprise over people not staying back for the post-film scenes after the credits.
Fandango also stated that 81% are trying to avoid all the spoilers for the Avengers: Endgame, and that 57% have deactivated their social media temporarily to avoid Endgame spoilers. About 63% of the viewers feel that Avengers: Endgame is a historic moment in cinema.
On track to be the biggest earner
Box office’s domestic revenue slid 17% during the same period last year. Therefore, many believe that Endgame could help the revenue soar. The movie has been directed by Russo brothers, who also directed Avengers: Infinity War. Endgame is a culmination of the previous 21 titles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series started with Iron Man in 2008 and went on to establish the Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios best in show.
Avengers: Infinity War was two hours and 29 minutes long and held the current record for biggest global opening ($640.5 million) and biggest domestic launch ($257.6 million) toppling Disney and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million), according to HollywoodReporter.
Avengers: Endgame is expected to be much bigger as it will be releasing in China on the same day as the rest of the world. The Infinity War released two weeks after its global launch in China. Analysts expect Endgame could get a $250 million opening in China and could potentially cross $1 billion in less than a week after its release.
