The third largest U.S. wireless carrier is offering Nexus 6 for $300 with a two-year contract. Consumers who do not want to enter a contract have the option to purchase the phablet for $696 with 24 monthly payments of $29 (excluding taxes and a service plan is required).

Doug Kaufman, director of device strategy at Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) said, “With pricing plans like the Sprint Family Share Pack, families can take advantage of all the features of Nexus 6 without worrying about expensive rate plans or running out of data each month.

On the other hand, Hiroshi Lockheimer, vice president of engineering for Android at Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) said, “We’re excited to collaborate with Motorola and Sprint to introduce customers to Nexus and Android 5.0 Lollipop, our biggest release yet.”

Nexus 6 coming soon on other wireless carriers

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) is currently accepting pre-orders for the device with a shipping date on Tuesday while T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) said it will be launching the Nexus 6 on Wednesday, November 19. Verizon Wireless will also sell the device, but it has not set the schedule the launch date or pricing.

Of course, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOG) is  directly selling the carrier-free edition of Nexus 6 through its Google Play store for $649 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB version. However, both models are listed out of stock on Google Play.

Nexus 6 features

The Nexus 6 sports a 6-inch quad HD display and 13-megapixel camera with a contoured aluminum frame. The device has dual front facing stereo speakers that deliver high-fidelity sound. Its turbo charger can charge up to 6 hours of batter use for only 15 minutes.  It is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop and Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM).

A Forbes contributor reviewed the Nexus 6 and stated that its 6-inch screen is probably the major factor that would attract consumers to buy it. The contributor said the device is tough with a great ergonomics and camera. Its battery holds up very well as it could last a day even with heavy use.
