Samsung Set To Unveil Galaxy K Zoom Later This Month

Updated on

Samsung recently announced their ‘Kapture the moment’ event which will likely be the event Samsung unveils Galaxy K Zoom, the new camera-centric model originally named Galaxy S5 Zoom.

Samsung’s next big event

The South Korean tech giant is holding a big press event in Singapore which will feature the unveiling of a huge new product. Previous rumors of the Galaxy S5 suggested that the smartphone will feature a 20-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front camera, 4.8 inch Super AMOLED 720p screen, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, Exynos 5 Hexa six-core chipset, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Samsung is enjoying a rather successful year for smartphones. The Verge recently elaborated on the Galaxy S5, “That’s never been Samsung’s strong suit. Samsung is big. It makes big phones with big screens with big ideas intended to push the boundaries of what a smartphone could or would or should ever do. But this year, Samsung’s trying something a little bit different. With the new Galaxy S5, the Korean company says it focused on the things that matter, not the gimmicky, overbearing features that have unfortunately become its calling card. It’s back to basics, back to what really makes a great smartphone.”

The pros and cons of the Samsung Galaxy S5

Even though this year’s Galaxy model still features plastic construction, it still features an improved design. It features a soft stippled back that doesn’t collect grease which gives it a premium look. It has a light thin plastic shell with waterproof protection for up to 30 minutes. That said, the phone is still not quite like the iPhone 5S. For one thing, the logos for the manufacturer and carrier were etched into the back of the phone, the logos were placed on like stickers.

The capacitive keys right next to the phone’s home button look like a circle of white light. The phone is still nice, it just doesn’t have the quality Apple has and that leaves a lot of people disappointed.
