The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is not expected to arrive until late March; however, the details about the device‘s hardware have been leaked already. And now, a tweet from a popular leakster has nearly confirmed that the smartphone will come with a large 6.2-inch display.
Leak almost confirms 6.2-inch display for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus
Evan Blass posted the leaked specification sheet for the Galaxy S8 Plus, disclosing many of its main hardware features. Blass’ tweet sort of confirms the specs.
Blass shared the spec sheet through his Twitter handle @evleaks, giving a snapshot of the handset’s features. According to the leaked spec sheet, the smartphone will likely feature a 6.1-inch (rounded corners), or a 6.2-inch (full rectangle) display with both Super AMOLED and Quad HD capabilities.
Many of the most well-known hedge fund managers in the world engage in philanthropy, and in doing so, they often reveal their favorite hedge funds through a review of their foundation's public filings. According to the tweet, the handset may possess 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded by using a microSD card. Many fans were hoping that the Korean firm would increase the RAM to 6GB. If the information in the tweet is to be believed, the 8MP front-facing camera and the 12MP rear camera are pretty standard and do not provide much when it comes to innovation, notes TechTimes.
In addition, the device may include an iris scanner, something already speculated to be present in the Galaxy S8 Plus. The smartphone will also likely be water and dust resistant and IP68 certified.
What the spec sheet was missing
Though the tweet lists many of the specs of the upcoming smartphone, it does not clearly state if the Galaxy S8 Plus will come with Android 7.0 Nougat at launch or if Samsung will ship the device with the older Android Marshmallow on board, notes TechTimes.
Also the spec sheet did not reveal the processor, but rumors are that both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus will have the most recent Snapdragon 835 SoC. The tweet was also quiet on the battery capacity, but previous reports have hinted it to be around 3,500 mAh.
The tweet by the leakster comes just days ahead of the MWC event, which is slated to start on February 26. Though the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are not expected to be released at the event, it is believed that the Korean firm will share some details at the event. Both phones are expected to debut on March 29.
