We have already seen multiple tech releases at the Consumer Electronics Show and the Mobile World Congress. But anticipation around some upcoming tech releases is so high that the Internet is flooded with speculations, rumors, and downright lies. Let’s have a look at some of the most promising tech releases over the next year.

Top tech releases

iPhone 6

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s upcoming smartphone is definitely one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Unfortunately, the Cupertino-based company never reveals anything about its upcoming products. But there are analysts and experts who have connections with supply chain sources. KDB Daewoo Securities and many other industry experts believe that the iPhone 6 will be released in September or October this year.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is likely to release iOS 8 at WWDC in June, along with an iPhablet to take on Galaxy Note 3. And then the iPhone 6 will likely announced in September. The tech giant has launched many of its products at a special event in September.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) fans have been expecting the iWatch for more than two years. The company has begun to test their patience. But reports suggest that the tech giant is adding a lot of health and fitness monitoring features in the iWatch. The wearable device is speculated to hit the markets with the iPhone 6 in September. That makes sense because it will be an accessory to the iPhone. The company has reportedly partnered with LG Electronics to make a flexible display for the iWatch.

Yet another product from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s stable, and one of the most-awaited tech releases. The revolutionary iTV was expected to be announced in 2013, which didn’t happen. Now all eyes are on a 2014 release. According to MacRumors, the iTV will offer video game support. The company already offers a set-top box. But Bloomberg recently reported that the tech giant will announce a fully revamped version of the set-top box in April, and will launch the product later this year.

Windows 9

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Windows 8 was a disaster. As users continued to criticize the operating system, the software giant is expected to release an update to Windows 8 in April at its Build Developers Conference. Moreover, Microsoft has sped up the Windows 9 development, and is likely to launch the new OS in April 2015.

Android 5

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) unveiled its Android 4.4 Kit Kat in October 2013, which was a minor update. It indicates that the search engine giant has saved major improvements for Android 5. According to the Wall Street Journal, Android 5.0 will ditch the high-end spec requirements, which would allow a wider range of devices to run the system. TechRadar expects the next-gen Android to be announced at Google’s annual I/O developers conference this year.

Tesla Model X

After the stupendous success of its Model S sedan, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is planning to launch a crossover Model X with all-wheel drive. Pre-orders for the upcoming car are in full swing. The electric vehicle maker has delayed the launch of Model X until 2015 to make sure that its ‘house is in order.’ Tesla will roll out the car in early 2015, but the high-volume deliveries are unlikely to begin before Q2, 2015.

HTC M8 is a successor to the Taiwanese company’s flagship HTC One, and one of the most anticipated tech releases of the year. Reports suggest that it will have a metal chassis. The device is speculated to have a 5-inch full HD display, a Lytro-style camera, the latest Android 4.4 Kit Kat, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor along with a microSD slot. HTC has sent out media invites for a March 25 event that will take place simultaneously in New York and London. M8 is expected to be launched at the same event.
