Niantic is planning to deploy a new Pokémon Go APK feature that will ssist players in catching more rare creatures as time passes by. Players who catch more of the same type of Pokemon will have a higher chance of catching rare Pokemon of the same type as well.
Update coming, but when?
According to Kotaku, the gaming giant has said that the more Pokémon Go players catch the same type of Pokémon over time, the more they will have the “catch type” bonus. Developers have still not made it clear if there will be a threshold or limit to how many bonuses a player can keep. A high enough rate could result in instant rare catches, which could destroy the concept of rare Pokemon in the first place, says Yibada.
“We are adding a new feature which grants a catch bonus when you earn medals based on catching certain types of Pokémon (Kindler, Psychic, Gardener, etc.). These new bonuses will give you a better chance of capturing Pokémon with a related type,” Niantic said.
There is no word or date about when the new Pokémon Go update will be released, but according to Polygon, Niantic said it is “coming soon.” Based on the previous release of patches for the popular mobile game, the update could be expected as early as within the next two weeks.
Norway’s PM playing Pokémon Go in parliament
In other Pokemon Go news, Erna Solberg, prime minister of Norway, was caught playing the popular mobile game in parliament. On Tuesday during a debate, Solberg was pictured playing the mobile game, according to The Guardian. It is no secret that Solberg is a huge fan of Pokémon Go. She took some time out during an official trip in Slovakia to play the game and even told reporters that she was eager to hatch some of her 10km eggs.
This is not the first time a Norwegian politician has been caught playing Pokémon Go while in parliament. In August, Trine Skei Grande, leader of Norway’s Liberal Party, was caught playing the game during a meeting on national security, says The Guardian.
And what’s interesting is that it was Grande speaking in parliament when the PM was caught playing the game. Grande, who was quite amused by the news, tweeted, “She heard what I said, we ladies can do two things at the same time you know.”
