Gold firm AngloGold Ashanti Limited (NYSE:AU) is our top gainer today, following a stock price increase of +10.71% to reach $15.04. Billionaire John Paulson holds 27.9 million AU shares, which represent 2.82% of his portfolio. He paid an average price of $14.08 per share.

IAMGOLD Corp (NYSE:IAG), another gold mining company, climbed +9.12% to $4.84 today. John Paulson has a position in IAG as well, with 3.8 million shares (0.12% of his holdings). He still has a lot of ground to make up for with this one, though – he paid an average per-share price of $15.83, meaning a -69.44% loss.

Last up is tech company Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK), its stock up +7.79% to $67.84. This firm is a favorite among many billionaires. First up on our list of losers today is International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM), which dipped to $174.13, a -6.75% decrease, after falling short in its earnings expectations. Warren Buffett wasn’t likely pleased by this. He owns 68.1 million IBM shares, representing 14.62% of his portfolio and purchased at an average $167.46 per share. Another firm with a big loss today is Atlas Energy LP (NYSE:ATLS), which dropped -5.93%. The oil and gas company is now trading at $47.26 after Robert W. Baird downgraded its rating to neutral.
