Apple keeps staying a step ahead of jailbreakers, but those who love their iPhones but hate the restrictions placed on it by iOS will always find a way to keep their phones free from Apple’s clutches. As a result, you can bet that the PanGu team, Luca Todesco and others will keep working on a jailbreak for the latest version of iOS. Jailbreakers are also sure to keep a steady supply of new and exciting iOS 10 jailbreak tweaks coming.
iOS 10.2 jailbreak delayed
Todesco released the Yalu iOS 10 and 10.1.1 jailbreak tool in beta for select iDevices recently, so some are jumping on board fast since it’s been months since the last jailbreak. Apple is already up to iOS 10.2 and looking beyond that, so jailbreakers are looking for an iOS 10.2 jailbreak tool from PanGu, but the team has delayed the tool’s release.
It’s unclear why the Chinese team has delayed the release, but some believe Apple’s constant stream of patches may be causing problems for the iOS 10.2 jailbreak. Others suggest that the PanGu team is waiting for Apple to release a more stable version of the current version of iOS. But whether PanGu releases its tool or Todesco opens up his tool to more devices and moves it out of beta first, jailbreakers are assuming that a solution is just around the corner.
If you’re already running the just-released iOS 10.2.1 and looking to move to a jailbroken version of iOS when the next one becomes available, it’s a good idea to downgrade to iOS 10.2 immediately—before Apple stops signing it and you can’t do it any longer.
