Man Claims Government Sponsored Time Travel To Year 2365

Updated on

A man claiming to be a former UK government employee has said the British government has developed time travel technology. The mysterious man claims he traveled to the year 2365 after being paid €200,000 to time travel and learn more about the future.

Conspiracy theorists were quick to jump onboard with this mystery man’s story, but is time travel really possible? What goals would the government have for pursuing time travel research?

Government Funded Time Travel?

The man claims that he worked for the UK government through most of his working career. He says he agreed to time travel due to the payment, “They offered to pay me over €200,000 to take the job, so I thought it was good for my family.” He says he spent six days in an unknown city in the year 2365.

While the mystery man claims the UK government does have advanced time travel technology, they don’t exactly know how it works.

“People in the Government aren’t exactly sure how things work; paradoxes can happen.

“All they know is that time travel is possible and we’ve figured out ways of doing it.

“I can tell you for a fact that time travel does exist within factions of the British Government.”

But why travel to the year 2365? The man claims the government uses the technology to conduct “vital research” and to learn about how to improve the world.

The Year 2365

So what does the year 2365 look like? The mystery man claims he went to the top of a skyscraper in a city he was unable to identify. The buildings were much taller than he was used to seeing and strangely slanted. From the top of the building he was able to observe futurist transportation including airplanes, hovering buses, and flying cars.

“On top of the skyscraper I saw various flying cars and modes of transportation that were travelling right by me.

“There were very long ones and very short ones, there were buses and cars, and I remember seeing a much higher form of air traffic above that, including aeroplanes that I have never seen before.

“I remember receiving a few strange looks from people in the cars that were looking at me.”

According to the man, 300 years in the future humans will coexist with other forms of life.

“I remember seeing robots, humans and what appeared to be aliens.

“I don’t know if they were genetically modified humans or if they were aliens – but I remember seeing strange creatures with large eyes and almond-shaped heads.

“There were also very regular looking humans that you would think were any average joe today – but they were wearing very strange clothing.”

While he claims he got some weird looks, he also said humans were not surprised to hear that he was from the year 2006. According to the anonymous time traveler, time travel was a regular occurence in the year 2365. While time traveling, he allegedly learned that time travel will become public knowledge in 2028.

While time travel may sound scary for some, that’s not how the mystery man feels about it, “Those six days in the year 2365 were the most memorable of my life. I had an amazing time.”

Other Time Travelers

The mystery government worker claiming to have traveled to the year 2365 is hardly the first person to pop up on the Internet insisting that they have experienced time travel.

Earlier this month, a man named James Oliver claiming to be from the year 6491 said that he was trapped in 2018 after his time machine broke down. Paranormal researchers asked him to take a lie detector test, which the man passed. Although the man speaks with a Birmingham accent, he claims to be from a different planet and time.

He said,

‘My planet is further away from the sun than yours is, so it takes longer to get around.

He also described alien life,

‘I have personal relationships with a few of them [aliens], I have friends I’d consider aliens. They are a nice lot, they are. Don’t be quick to judge.

‘I have some who are quite good friends. My closest friend is from another galaxy.’

Although paranormal researchers claim Oliver passed the lie detector test, it doesn’t exactly prove anything. People have been known to beat tests or believe their lies so thoroughly they register as truth.

Is Time Travel Possible?

Conspiracy theorists and science fiction writers have been claiming for years that time travel is possible and may even already exist, but what do scientists have to say?

Some scientists like to point out that we time travel all of the time, we just only do it in one direction. Paul Sutter, an astrophysicist at Ohio State, used Einstein’s theory of relativity to explain why time travel may be possible.

“The faster you move through space, the slower you move through time. We’ve been able to measure this with ultra-precise atomic clocks in jet airplanes, and the precision offered by the GPS system needs to take this into account. Sci-fi always seem to require complicated contraptions to jump in time, when all you need is a very large rocket,” Sutter told Space.com.

While the mystery time traveler claims to have traveled to the future, some people are more concerned about traveling to the past. Some fantasize about undoing a past mistake or righting a historical wrong. Stutter claims that the physics of earth seem to prohibit time travel to the past.

One theory for how time travel might be possible would be through using wormholes, “theoretical passages through space-time that could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe.” Einstein theorizes that these wormholes could connect different points in space-time. Wormholes, at this point, are purely theoretical and have not been observed in the known Universe.

“When it comes to the past,” Sutter explained, “the mathematics of general relativity does allow a few strange scenarios where you can end up in your own past. But all of these scenarios end up violating other known physics, like requiring negative mass or infinitely long rotating cylinders. Why does general relativity allow past time travel, but other physics always jump in to spoil the fun? We honestly don’t know.”

While some astrophysicists believe that time travel through a wormhole is theoretically possible, wormholes are theorized to collapse quickly and exist on microscopic levels. Others argue that time travel through a wormhole would only allow you to go backwards in time. Cosmologist Stephen Hawking rejected the idea entirely.
