The makers of the Eye case are planning to produce 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models, both of which will bring the full Android experience to the iPhone. The Eye case has a 5-inch full HD display and 2,800 mAh battery to charge the iPhone. It also supports wireless charging. It also has a microSD slot to add up to 256GB of additional storage to the iPhone and two more SIM slots. The Eye case supports near-field communication, which can be used for Apple Pay and other similar features, and an infrared sensor.
Those who have an iPhone 7 and are still steamed about the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack will also be pleased to hear that this case has one.

Other than the cash you’ll have to shell out for the case, the price of bringing Android to the iPhone without using a jailbreak is having a bulkier phone. Apple has been slimming down its products for years, but apparently, those who want Android on their iPhone don’t mind the extra weight and thickness of a case like this. Early bird who buy the case through the Kickstarter project can pick it up for $95, although cases that support 4G cost a little more.
The maker of the case will begin shipping them in August, a month ahead of the expected iPhone 8 release, so those who have a current model iPhone will be able to use it starting then. Those who are planning on getting an iPhone 8 can order through Kickstarter but opt to wait until this year’s models are released. The company states that the new iPhones will be supported a month after their launch.
How much longer to wait for iPhone 8 support?
However, the iPhone 8 is expected to have a 5.8-inch display, and the current Eye cases only support 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays, which are the sizes of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. As a result, it will take more than just basic changes to make the cases able to support the iPhone 8, so it might be longer before one is available for this model.
On the other hand, Apple is rumored to be planning to unveil the iPhone 8 with the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus but then release it much later. This might give the makers of the Eye case a chance to create one to fit the bigger iPhone in time to meet the one-month delay they give on their Kickstarter project.
