Earlier this month, reports coming out of Apple’s supply chain suggested that the next iPhone will be available in rose gold, besides the usual gold, silver and space gray color options. Now Dutch concept designer Martin Hajek has come up with a realistic looking concept of the iPhone 6S in rose gold. It will go alongside the rose gold Apple Watch that sets you back by a whopping $17,000.
iPhone 6S design to resemble the iPhone 6
It’s unclear at this point how much the fancy rose gold iPhone 6S would cost. But it doesn’t hurt to imagine what it would look like. Hajek’s concept looks similar to the iPhone 6 in terms of design. That’s expected considering the Cupertino company keeps its designs around for at least two years before introducing a new design. But there will be some improvements.
According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the upcoming iPhone will have an improved Touch ID sensor. It is also rumored to feature the Force Touch Technology introduced with Apple Watch. Force Touch can differentiate between a gentle touch and a hard press, suggesting new gestures. The iPhone 6S is expected to come with an 8-megapixel main camera sensor with certain improvements.
Will you buy a rose gold iPhone 6S?
Apple is expected to improve overall battery life of the iPhone 6S. A report from GottaBeMobile indicates that the next iPhone will also be water resistant. The device would run Apple’s forthcoming iOS 9 software, which should be unveiled at the WWDC 2015 in June. The tech giant is publicly testing the new OS to fix bugs, enhance performance and stability of its mobile devices.
Consumers went crazy when Apple introduced the iPhone 5S in gold color option. Since then, the company has brought gold color to much of its products. It would be interesting to see whether rose gold iPhone 6S creates the same magic. Most of us (including me) may not be able to afford the $17,000 Apple Watch, but may consider the rose gold iPhone 6S at a reasonably affordable price.
