This should be exciting news for jailbreaking fans. A video has been created by KeenLab that shows an iOS 10.3.2 jailbreak and, even more exciting, and iOS 11 beta jailbreak. With the state of jailbreaking lately, it’s a little surprising to see an iOS 11 beta jailbreak this early in the release cycle. Perhaps this will give some iPhone owners the confidence they need to upgrade their devices in the future without losing the possibility of a jailbreak.

However, before you get your hopes up, this jailbreak is not public just yet. In fact, it’s not clear if this jailbreak method will ever be made public. Some are speculating KeenLab is holding onto the jailbreak until a full public release of iOS 11 before making it available so as not to tip of Apple to the exploits they used for the jailbreak. Others believe that this is simply a display of the ability to jailbreak but nothing more.

Want to see the jailbreak in action for yourself? Check out the video below:

As you can see, there are 3 different iPhones shown in the video running two different versions of iOS. The iOS 11 beta jailbreak seems to take a little longer than the iOS 1.3.2 jailbreak but, when all is said and done, all three devices appear to be jailbroken with Cydia available on the home screen once the process is complete.

The simplicity of this jailbreak may take you back to the good old days of jailbreaking when you could simply visit a webpage on your iPhone and tap the “Jailbreak” button. The level of polish and simplicity in this jailbreak gives us hope it is being prepped for a public release. Why go through the effort of making such a nice, user friendly jailbreak solution if you don’t plan on actually sharing it with users.

It felt like it wasn’t too long ago we were talking about the death of jailbreaking. Now, over the last few weeks there has been renewed hope for jailbreaking fans. New exploits have been shown with some semi-retired jailbreaking coming out of the woodwork to share some knowledge and insight. Perhaps jailbreaking isn’t dead after all?

If this iOS 11 beta jailbreak can also be used on the full public release of iOS 11 then this could be a huge win for the jailbreaking community. Jailbreaking is basically a back and forth game between Apple and hackers. Jailbreaking has certainly seen better days. For the last few years it feels like Apple has been winning the battle against the jailbreaking community. Perhaps this iOS 11 beta jailbreak and iOS 10.3.2 jailbreak marks a new chapter in jailbreaking history. Only time will tell.
