BlackBerry’s flagship Android smartphone, the Priv, was launched with a premium price tag, but there is some good news for eager customers. The Android-based handset is being offered at a huge discounted price for a limited time.

BlackBerry Priv, which usually sells for $700 on Daily Steals, is now available at a reduced price of $450. On BlackBerry’s official U.S. online store, the device is selling for $650, suggesting a saving of $200 for the interested customers. And according to CNET, you may even get it for $434.99 after applying the coupon code CHEAPSKATE15 at checkout. Daily Steals is offering the AT&T-branded but unlocked Priv, suggesting that buyers can use it with other GSM carriers as well. The listing of the device currently states that the deal is valid for three days only.
Apart from the Priv, all of BlackBerry’s latest smartphones are also available at reduced prices in the U.S. These include the Classic, Passport and Leap models. The U.S. price of the Passport on Amazon is just $395 now. Also e-commerce website eBay is offering other BlackBerry devices such as the Leap and Classic at significantly reduced prices of $229.99 and $279.95, respectively.
Passport: a promising device
The BlackBerry Passport features a square exterior design and a retro QWERTY keyboard. The company released the Passport in June 2014 for $699.99. Amazon has stated on its website that this GSM unlocked device, which it is offering at a discount, works on AT&T and T-Mobile and with GSM SIM cards such as H20, Straight Talk and other prepaid carriers. The device does not work with CDMA carriers such as Sprint, Verizon, Boost or Virgin Mobile.
The BlackBerry Passport comes with several promising specifications and features. The device sports a 4.5-inch touch-enabled IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,440 x 1,440 pixels. It also features a capacitive touch 3-row BlackBerry keyboard. The device comes with 3GB of RAM and runs on a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.
The device has 32 GB of built-in memory and a microSD card slot to expand the amount of memory up to 128 GB. The device’s rear camera is 13 megapixels, while the front-facing camera is 2 megapixels. It comes with a powerful Li-Ion 3,450 mAh non-removable battery.
The Passport runs BlackBerry OS 10.3 and can be updated to version 10.3.2. In addition to the standard connectivity options, this device supports 4G LTE as well.
