THE LATEST ON GONZAGA UNIVERSITY

Reports on Twitter indicate that security is still checking parts of the Gonzaga University campus after receiving a bomb threat. They are starting to let some students back into some of the buildings, however. This morning at 8:42 a.m. local time in Spokane, police started evacuating all academic and administrative buildings at Gonzaga University after they received a “non-specific bomb threat.”

KHQ reports now that Spokane police were seen leaving the campus after clearing it. The buildings police checked include the Broadcast Journalism building, the Dance and Choral Studios, Schoenberg Centre, Tilford Center, Martin Centre, Boone Avenue Retail Center and Hughes Hall.

The university’s dean also cancelled all law school classes “until further notice,” according to the Gonzaga Law’s Twitter feed, which also advised students to leave the university campus. Students were also told to check for updates on the university’s emergency communication line.
