Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S6 at its Galaxy Unpacked event on March 1st

After T-Mobile and AT&T, Sprint is now allowing interested buyers to pre-register for the “latest Samsung devices,” the Galaxy S6 and its dual-edge variant S6 Edge. Verizon is yet to post its own take on the Galaxy S6 teaser yet, but the Big Red is widely expected to offer Samsung’s newest flagship devices, too. Sprint’s pre-registration page features the Galaxy S6 Edge with the punchline “Six Appeal.”

Galaxy S6 yet to pass through FCC?

The image in Sprint’s teaser is similar to the ones T-Mobile and AT&T are using. The only difference is in the color scheme, which is yellow in Sprint’s case. Right below the “Pre-Register Now” button, the teaser states that the device “has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission.” It indicates that the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are yet to pass through the FCC.

AT&T’s teaser had “Spring 2015” written at the bottom. It indicates that the phones will be available for sale between March and May. Samsung will officially unveil the two phones at its pre-MWC Galaxy Unpacked event on March 1st. The Korean company has also  been teasing various features of the Galaxy S6, including a faster processor and an intelligent camera, ahead of the launch.

Galaxy S6 to launch in India the second week of April

Separately, inside sources told Ankit Tuteja of IBN Live that the Galaxy S6 will be launched in India in the second week of April. Sources said that pre-orders for the new smartphone will begin in mid-March. Interestingly, the report doesn’t mention the Galaxy S6 Edge, suggesting that it may be launched at a later date.

The Galaxy S6 and its dual-edge sibling will feature a 5.1-inch display, Exynos 7 processor, 3GB RAM, 20MP main camera, 5MP front camera, Android Lollipop, and a new mobile payment system called Samsung Pay. Recently, mobile accessories maker Spigen announced on its Facebook page that its Galaxy S6 cases are now available for pre-order on Amazon and other e-commerce platforms.
