Full Galaxy Note 10 Specs Leaked, Flipkart Teases Launch

Updated on

The Galaxy Note 10 unveiling is only a couple of weeks away. As expected, the Note 10 leaks have intensified as the launch date nears, though some of them are contradictory. Multiple tipsters have revealed the full Galaxy Note 10 specs now. What’s more, Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has teased the Note 10 launch, suggesting the device will be available through Walmart-owned Flipkart in India.

Flipkart has set up a microsite that shows off a black S Pen stylus. It highlights the August 8 launch date (India time), but doesn’t mention the Galaxy Note 10 specs. The phone’s official unveiling is scheduled to take place on August 7th in New York City.

The Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the same venue where last year’s Galaxy Note 9 was unveiled. The event would start at 4 p.m. EDT in New York, which is 1 p.m. Pacific Time, 9 p.m. BST, and 6 a.m. AEST. Samsung fans will be able to watch the live stream on the company’s website.

It’s no secret that Samsung is going to launch two different models of the Note 10. There will be a standard Note 10 and a more expensive Note 10 Plus. Reliable tipster Evan Blass has learned from reliable sources that the regular Galaxy Note 10 would feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with Infinity-O cutout.

The Note 10 would pack 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Samsung will be using the blazing fast UFS 3.0 storage technology, which we have seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro. There will also be a microSD card slot for external memory. The device would feature a 3,600mAh battery with 45W fast charging technology and Wireless PowerShare technology. Samsung will upgrade the Wireless PowerShare to 15W.

Both the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus would run Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, which is a minor upgrade over the Snapdragon 855. In the non-US markets, Samsung will sell the phablets with its own Exynos 9825 processor. Both models will have the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated under the display.

The Note 10 Plus would come with an even larger 6.8-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. The selfie camera hole on both devices will be moved from the top-right corner to the top-center of the screen. It would offer 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Plus variant would support a 4,300mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 15W Wireless PowerShare. According to an earlier report, Samsung will ship the phone with a 25W charger, and users have to buy the 45W charger separately.

In terms of camera, both of them will have a triple camera system consisting of a 12MP sensor, a 16MP wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The cameras will be aligned vertically. The Plus version will have an additional DepthVision Time of Flight sensor for depth-sensing. They are said to come with a Live Focus feature similar to the Huawei P30 Pro. The selfie camera on both handsets would have a night mode to enhance low-light photography.

Among other Galaxy Note 10 specs, the devices are rumored to come with an audio zoom feature that lets user enhance audio on the point of focus in a video. We have seen the audio zoom feature on flagship LG smartphones. What’s more, Samsung will reportedly ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack from the Note 10 duo to make room for larger batteries. Most other smartphone vendors have already done away with the audio jack.

Samsung is also rumored to remove the Bixby button. Last month, Korea Economic Daily reported that the Galaxy Note 10 series would come with Microsoft’s Windows pairing app ‘Your Phone’ pre-installed. The Your Phone app allows you to mirror your phone’s screen on your Windows PC. It also lets users access their phone’s content such as photos, videos, and messages right on the computer.

The S Pen stylus will get new Air Actions support. The Air Action will allow you to navigate the interface without touching the display. We will have to wait to see what Air Action can do.
