Apple may have pushed out the iOS 9.3.4 update fixing the bug Pangu had exploited to jailbreak the iOS 9.3.3, but those looking to jailbreak their devices haven’t upgraded to the iOS 9.3.4. Jailbreaking isn’t always easy. Many a times, you’ll encounter one or another error. Fortunately, most of the errors come with some information regarding the factor that is causing the error. It makes it easier for you to resolve the issue.

It feels scary when you are trying to jailbreak your iDevice and the screen suddenly turns black. No error, no information. The jailbreaking community calls it the “black screen of death.” If you experienced this issue while jailbreaking your iOS 9.3.3 device, here’s how you can resolve it:
Step-1: If your device is getting the Black Screen of Death, the first thing you should do is a hard reboot so you can access your iOS 9.3.3 device again. For those who don’t know how to hard reboot, just press and hold the Power button and the Home button together. Hold them down for about 10 seconds. Release the buttons when the iconic Apple logo appears on the screen.
Step-2: Now that you have gained access to your device, don’t forget to make a full backup of your iDevice using iTunes – just in case something goes wrong.
Step-3: Perform a full restore on iOS 9.3.3 via iTunes. You can get the iOS 9.3.3 IPSW files for your specific device here.
Step-4: Go ahead and jailbreak your iOS 9.3.3 device using Pangu’s tool. You probably won’t get the Black Screen of Death this time.
Step-5: After jailbreaking your device, restore the backup using iTunes. Now you have a jailbroken device with the same configuration as before.
Note that the fixes for jailbreak errors may not run successfully all the time. If you experience the Black Screen of Death again, simply repeat the above steps.
