Weatherford International Ltd (NYSE:WFT)

For the company’s most recently completed quarter, a consensus of 21 analysts polled by Bloomberg Businessweek indicated expectations of $3.9 billion in revenue. Shares of Weatherford’s stock closed out the trading day Wednesday down 1.8 percent.
Skullcandy Inc (NASDAQ:SKUL)
A consensus of analysts polled by Bloomberg Businessweek indicates expectations of $37.3 million in revenue and losses of 27 cents per share. The company posted positive earnings surprises in the first two quarters of last year.
Shares of Skullcandy Inc (NASDAQ:SKUL) took a beating on Wednesday, closing out the trading day down 5.25 percent. The decline is most likely due to the company’s weak first quarter guidance, which it gave in March. The company said then that it had made some major mistakes in packaging and that it had not been able to address audio trends quickly enough in recent months.
Power One Inc (NASDAQ:PWER)
Analysts expect the company to report losses of 4 cents per share on revenue of $187 million for the most recently completed quarter. In the previous quarter, it posted a 100 percent negative surprise compared to Bloomberg Businessweek’s consensus estimates. In the same quarter a year ago, the company’s earnings were also a negative surprise.
It was announced last week that Swiss engineering conglomerate ABB Ltd (NYSE:ABB) would buy Power One Inc (NASDAQ:PWER) at a price tag of $1.03 billion in cash. The acquisition will allow the Swiss company to increase its position in solar energy.
PDL BioPharma Inc. (NASDAQ:PDLI)
Consensus estimates for this company indicate expectations of 34 cents in earnings per share on revenue of $91.7 million for the most recently completed quarter. The first two quarters of last year were positive surprises for investors.
Shares of PDL BioPharma Inc. (NASDAQ:PDLI) closed out the trading day on Wednesday down 1.94 percent.
OpenTable Inc (NASDAQ:OPEN)
Analysts predict that the online company will report earnings of 43 cents on $45.6 million in revenue. The company has exhibited slow but steady revenue growth in each of the last five quarters. The last five quarterly reports have positively surprised in terms of earnings.
