Earnings season continues Tuesday with more reports. Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R), United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS), TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NYSE:AMTD), Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE:RF) and Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE:TRV) are all scheduled to report.
Ryder System, Inc. (R) Earnings Estimates
Consensus estimates indicate that Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R) will report earnings per share of $1.22 on revenue of $1.6 billion. Expectations for the company’s full-year earnings are $4.83 per share on full-year revenue of $6.5 billion.
The company has come out just ahead of consensus estimates in each of the last five quarters. No analysts polled by Zacks have changed their estimates for Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R) within the last week, although one revised estimates downward in the last month.
United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS)
Analysts are expecting United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS) to report earnings per share of $1.13 on revenue of $13.6 billion for the second quarter of the year. Full-year earnings are expected to be $4.77 on full-year revenue of $55.9 billion.
The company came out slightly ahead of estimates in the first quarter, although in the four quarters prior to that, it just barely missed consensus. Of the analysts polled by Zacks, 15 of them have revised their estimates for United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS) downward in the last 30 days. As of 30 days ago, UPS had been expected to report $1.20 per share for the second quarter.
United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS) slashed its profit forecast earlier this month, citing overcapacity in the global air freight market, a slower U.S. industrial economy and increasing customer preference for lower-yielding shipping solutions.
TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (AMTD)
Analysts project that TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NYSE:AMTD) will report earnings of 31 cents per share on $706 million in revenue for the second quarter. Full-year earnings are expected to be $1.12 on full-year revenue of $2.7 billion.
One analyst polled by Zacks revised estimates for the company downward in the last seven days, while eight have revised their estimates upward in the last 30 days. TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NYSE:AMTD)’s stock has risen significantly over the last six months, although today it fell as much as 1 percent just ahead of tomorrow’s earnings report.
Regions Financial Corporation (RF)
Analysts believe Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE:RF) will report earnings per share of 21 cents on revenue of $1.3 billion for the second quarter of the year. Full-year earnings are expected to be 86 cents on full-year revenue of $5.3 billion.
The bank has come out just ahead of consensus in the last three quarters, and it posted significant positive surprises in the two quarters before them. Three analysts polled by Zacks have revised their estimates for Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE:RF) upward in the last 30 days, although none have moved their numbers lower.
Travelers Companies Inc (TRV)
Consensus earnings estimates for Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE:TRV) range from $1.58 on the low end from Zacks up to $1.67 per share on the high end from Street Insider. Revenue estimates range from $5.7 billion up to $5.97 billion. Full-year earnings are expected to be around $7.60 per share on full-year revenue of $22.7 billion.
Zacks indicates that analysts have gradually lowered their estimates for Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE:TRV) over the last 60 days. According to the research firm, the consensus was for $1.68 per share 60 days ago, which gradually fell to $1.65 per share 30 days ago and then to $1.60 per share a week ago before falling two more cents to today’s estimate.
