Earnings Preview: BMC Software, CH Robinson, Calamos, EA, Gamco

BMC Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:BMC), C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHRW), Calamos Asset Management, Inc (NASDAQ:CLMS), Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA), and Gamco Investors Inc. (NYSE:GBL) are scheduled to release quarterly earnings results on Monday, May 6, 2013.

Earnings Preview: BMC Software, CH Robinson, Calamos, EA, Gamco

BMC Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:BMC), a company engaged in developing software solutions for system and service management for enterprises ,is expected to report its fourth quarter financial performance for fiscal 2012.

Analysts estimated that the software company will report $0.94 earnings per share and $594 million revenue compared with its $0.74 earnings per share and $565 million revenue recorded in the fourth quarter of 2012 based on data from Bloomberg.

For the full fiscal 2013, BMC Software is expected to achieve $3.43 earnings per share and $2.2 billion revenue. Last year, the company posted $3.25 earnings per share and $2.2 billion revenue.

Analysts expect C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHRW) to post $0.68 earnings per share and $3.0 billion revenue for the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The anticipated financial results of the company are slightly higher than its $0.65 earnings per share and $2.6 billion revenue in the same period last year.

In 2012, the company reported $2.76 earnings per share and $11.4 billion revenue. Analysts projected that CH Robinson Worldwide will deliver $3.06 earnings per share and $13 billion revenue for the whole year 2013.

Data from Yahoo! Finance showed that analysts covering the stock of Calamos Asset Management, Inc (NASDAQ:CLMS) have a consensus estimate of $0.18 earnings per share and $71.54 million revenue for the March quarter. During the same period a year ago, the company posted $0.34 earnings per share and $85.28 million revenue.

Analysts projected that the company will achieve $0.68 earnings per share and $275.67 million revenue for the fiscal 2013. Last year, Calamos Asset Management reported $0.88 earnings per share and $326.68 million revenue.

Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) is expected to report a better first quarter financial performance for the current fiscal 2013. Analysts polled by Bloomberg estimated that the company will deliver $0.57 earnings per share and $1 billion revenue compared with its $0.17 earnings per share and $977 million revenue than  in the same period a year earlier.

For the full fiscal 2013, analysts anticipate that Electronic Arts will achieve $0.88 earnings per share, higher than its $0.85 earnings per share last year. Its revenue for the current fiscal year is expected to be lower at around $3.8 billion compared with its $4.2 billion revenue in 2012.

Meanwhile, Gamco Investors Inc. (NYSE:GBL) is expected to deliver $0.84 earnings per share for the first quarter of 2013 compared with its $0.90 earnings per share in the same period a year earlier. During the previous quarter, the company reported $0.67 earnings per share. For the fiscal 2013, analysts projected the GAMCO Investors will report $3.67 earnings per share, higher than its $3.01 earnings per share posted in 2012, based on data from Bloomberg.

Analysts estimated that the company will deliver $90.48 million revenue for the current quarter compared with its $81.75 million revenue last year. For  fiscal 2013, Gamco Investors is expected to post $361 million revenue compared with its $344.28 million revenue in 2012, according to data from Yahoo! Finance.
