Blackstone and Evercore have again ranked very well in another set of investment bank ratings. The folks at Wall Street Oasis collected data from employees of the world’s top investment banks and have been releasing their rankings on various metrics.
Investment bank management rated in four areas
The website found that Blackstone and Evercore ranked at the top of the list for best-paying investment banks, while Evercore won in employee promotions. Wall Street Oasis’ latest list is about management at the major investment banks.
They broke down this particular set of ratings into four categories: communication, teamwork, leadership and competence.
Blackstone wins in communication
In the first category, the website asked about “communications from management about important issues and changes.”
Blackstone topped the list with a score of 99.8, while Robert W. Baird came in second with a score of 99.3. In third place was Evercore with a score of 99. Harris Williams & Co. was in fourth place with a score of 98.
Harris Williams wins in teamwork
Harris Williams & Co. rose to the top in the rankings for teamwork. To come up with this list, Wall Street Oasis asked about “information and knowledge sharing within the company.”
Evercore was a close second place in this category, scoring a rating of 99.5 to Harris Williams’ 99.8. In third place was Blackstone with a score of 99, and fourth place was held by Piper Jaffray, which was just barely lower than Blackstone with a score of 98.9. Fifth place was close as well, with Goldman Sachs grabbing a score of 98.8.
Blackstone tops leadership category
The website asked employees about the “leadership abilities of Senior management” to come up with the rankings for the leadership part of the management rankings. Blackstone was at the top of the list with a score of 99.9, but Evercore was nearly neck and neck with Blackstone, as its score was 99.8.
Moelis and Company was a distant third place with a score of 98.9, and fourth place went to Rothschild with a score of 98.8.
Evercore has the smartest managers
In the fourth and final category under the management rankings at the top investment banks, Evercore won first place with a score of 99.9. The firm just barely edged out Blackstone, which had a score of 99.8.
In third place was Goldman Sachs with a score of 98.9, and fourth place went to Lazard, with a score of 98.8.
