BlackBerry Passport has yet to arrive in stores, but fans can get a sneak peak at the upcoming device in a demo video. The demo of the device comes from Carphone Warehouse.

A new video shows a glimpse of the upcoming BlackBerry Passport

According to the clip, this device will feature a 10-megapixel camera, square shape, wide physical keyboard, 4.5 inch screen with full high-definition screen, 2.3GHz quad-core processor, and stainless steel sides. It also comes with a BlackBerry Assistant button accessible on the side of the device.

The only downside to the video is that it doesn’t reveal new information about the upcoming BlackBerry smartphone. It is still speculated the device will launch at the upcoming IFA in September.

BlackBerry still struggles

For years, the Canadian-based tech giant has failed to capture the mobile phone market thanks to competitions from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Samsung among other companies. Even as BlackBerry tried to win back some of it’s lost market with touchscreen phones, the company still couldn’t compete with the upscale design of the iPhone or the immense popularity of Galaxy S5. But the company formerly known as Research In Motion (RIM) was not the only smartphone maker to take a brunt from competition. Nokia and Motorola have seen a significant decline in sales.

Things are not looking better for BlackBerry.  Recent data from International Data Corporation shows the company is left behind even overall global smartphone shipments top at 300 million units. The percentage of global shipments rose 25.3% during the second quarter. The Canadian phone maker lost in volumes. IDC reported that BlackBerry volumes rebounded slightly from the quarter before and remain 78% lower from last year’s shipment levels. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) did see improvements in the Asia/Pacific market and gains in enterprise use in North America and West Europe.
