BlackBerry Ltd Passport To Be Packed With Amazon’s Appstore

Updated on

BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)’s Passport running on BB OS 10.3 will come packed with Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s Appstore, according to an official blog. The Amazon Appstore has a wide variety of free and paid apps that will run on BB 10.3 devices. Users can enjoy their favorite apps by clicking on the Appstore.

Apps, USP for Passport

The BlackBerry Passport is better equipped to handle Android apps, with faster speed compared to previous ones due to the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 2.2GHz Quad-Core CPUs. One of the most popular apps available on the Passport is Pinterest, which is more or less similar to a personal scrapbook through the adding of pictures, recipes, memes and other such things.

The Passport’s strong speakers provide good music via TuneIn Radio or other audio-streaming apps. Finding an app is quite easy and quick on the Passport. The smartphone also has a great sound quality, with the phone picking just the right intricacy for the music, from jazz to rock, country and blues.

“You may find your entire office or household asking you to pump up the volume,” says the blog.

The Passport also has various games that are compatible with Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and other social media, ranging from cooperative or competitive play, sharing scores with friends and exchanging of virtual currency via Facebook. In addition, the phone has a range of remarkable productivity apps, from Avaya one-X apps to Evernote, Documents To Go, ProntoForms and Cisco WebEx Meetings, as well as the upcoming BlackBerry Assistant.

The blog adds, “Once the word gets out about how well all of this works, it will surely increase the chatter around BB OS 10 and the Passport.”
