Pokemon Go has been wildly popular. Almost every Pokemon Go addict is using some sort of cheats and tricks in an attempt to catch ’em all. A good thing is that the game bridges the real world and the virtual world. You have to get out of your comfort zone and go from place to place to catch ’em. The WiFi networks are physically limited, so you have to use your cellular data to keep playing the game.

It’s only for Android users on AT&T network

Pokemon Go can easily and quickly eat away your monthly mobile data limits. Fortunately, there is a way to avoid data overage charges if you are an Android user and are on the AT&T network. Mobile platform and services provider Syntonic has enabled sponsored access to Pokemon Go for Android users through its Freeway sponsored data app.

Syntonic said in a statement that its promotion runs through August 15th. It is providing the first 10,000 Android users with 1GB of free mobile data that you can use to access Pokemon Go anywhere across the US on AT&T network. Syntonic CEO Gary Greenbaum said that users can “freely engage with the game without impacting data usage” as Freeway by Syntonic delivers access through a sponsored data model.

Where to get the Freeway app?

How does the sponsored data model work? Well, it allows game publishers, content providers, advertisers and mobile operators to pay for mobile data usage on your behalf. Simply put, it enables mobile data usage for certain apps and content to be paid for by brands. You can download Freeway by Syntonic from the Google Play Store. The global sponsored data market is estimated to grow to $23 billion by 2019.

T-Mobile has already been offering its customers free Pokemon Go data through its T-Mobile Tuesdays app. However, the offer is not automatically applied. You have to claim the deal through the T-Mobile Tuesdays app to get the data.
