Apple’s iOS 7 Beta Now Available: How To Install Now

For those who cannot wait for iOS 7, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) just announced that iOS 7 is now available for [Link: download] for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Application developers and Apple fans can pay a $99 yearly fee to access beta software for Apple iOS. Users can download it directly from the developer’s portal.

How To Install iOS 7 Beta:

Before users download any new software, it’s highly advised that they back everything up beforehand. Downloading beta software releases often come with expected risks such as bugs, crashes, and other problems. Users must go to the Apple’s Developer Center page to download iOS 7 beta.  You’ll need to use your Apple ID to sign in. If you haven’t already, you will be expected to pay $99 to access beta version of iOS 7. You will also have to register your device’s UDID in the developer center page before you download and install.

You will have to look for the right download for your device.  And don’t forget to download the latest version of iTunes if you  haven’t already. Then open the .dmg file and extract the iOS beta file(look for the specific file that ends in .ipsw).

Installation Guide via (GottaBeMobile):

1. Register the device UDID with IMZDL

2. Make sure you are on the latest version of iTunes.

3. Connect the iPhone to the computer and perform a backup with iTunes.

4. Download the iOS 7 Beta for your iPhone model. The files will show up on IMZDL today, but could take time.

6. Open iTunes and upgrade to the iOS 7 Beta by choosing Restore.

  • Be sure to hold alt/option on Mac when you click Restore.
  • On Windows, hold Shift when you click Restore.

7. Find the .ipsw file you downloaded and select it.

8. Complete the installation and then restore from backup if you desire.

This will install the iOS 7 beta on the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S or iPhone 4. An iOS 7 beta for iPad and iPAd mini will come later.

Highlights for iOS 7  include improved user interface, AirDrop, InterApp audio, Map Kit, and more. iOS 7 Beta supports iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, and fifth generation iPod Touch. Later this summer, it will support iPads.
