At what could be the most awaited event in tech gadget history, Apple unveiled its new iPhone 5 today. However, that’s not the only product the company has unleashed for the public. The new models of the iPod have also been released and they are astounding!
The new iPod Nano is now 50% thinner, and features a 2.5 inch multitouch display, along with a new “home” button. It will be available in 7 primary colors. It features video playback, bluetooth support for video streaming to wireless devices, and even a built in FM tuner with live pausing features, and a pedometer.

The new iPod nano will retail for $149 and will have 16GB of storage. It is scheduled for release in October.
The new iPod Touch also features some awesome new upgrades, including a 4 inch retina display, Siri voice assistance, and the title of being the thinnest iPod Touch ever. It is 6.1 mm thick and weighs just 88 grams. It sports a 5 megapixel rear mounted camera and a 32nm A5 chip. It also touts an anodized aluminum back. This back plate will be available in the following five colors:
This unit will retail for $299 for the 32 GB model and $399 for the 64 GB unit.
Apple reports that as of July of this year, the company has sold approximately 350 million iPods, although they did not specify how many of each type they had sold.
