Apple iPad Pro Images With Additional Speakers Surface

Updated on

Photos of Apple’s rumored iPad Pro were captured and leaked recently, and they show an additional speaker grill space at the top of the device beside the lock button. The picture suggests Apple’s larger tablet will be packed with even more powerful speakers than previous models.

iPad Pro – In line with earlier rumors

Nowhereelse.fr. posted the image on its website, claiming that it was taken at the Foxconn factory. According to the report, a person claiming to be a worker at the factory captured the picture showing a 3D view of the upcoming device.

If the image leaked is of an Apple tablet, then it means users will be able to hear stereo sound from the device in portrait or landscape orientation. Further, it was mentioned in the report that the larger iPad would be between 6.9 and 7.5 millimeters thick and that the screen size will lie somewhere between 12.2 and 12.9 inches. The current iPads on the market have 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch screens, and both only have speakers underneath them.

The leaked image is in line with previous rumors suggesting that the “iPad Pro” will have extra speakers along with razor sharp edges and a larger display above 12 inches in size. Apart from the screen size, those earlier rumors suggested the iPad Pro will come with an A8X processor, 2 GB of RAM, and the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Most recently, Japanese magazine Mac Fan suggested the new device will sport a 12.2-inch LCD display and will be named the “iPad Air Plus.”

iPad Pro – New Apple device expected in 2Q

Trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo noted that the Cupertino Calif.-based company will have to face various hurdles while manufacturing the iPad Pro. Kuo, who claims to be aware of information about the product, notes that apart from hardware, Apple is also designing and evaluating an entirely new version of iOS to match the larger display.

Back in February, Kuo mentioned in a report that the iPad Mini series will be left slightly unattended this year as the company focuses on completing its iPad Air 2 for late 2014 and the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro for 2015. Kuo expects the “iPad Pro” to be launched in the second quarter of 2015.
