Apple Inc. (AAPL) Promises To Bring Back Missing iWork Features

Updated on

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s recent upgrade for the iWork productivity suite left many Mac users upset. The popular program, which includes Pages and Keynote, didn’t have all the features it previously had and some of the favorite features were gone.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) Promises To Bring Back Missing iWork Features

The main problem with the update is that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) designed the program to be more compatible with the iOS for iPad. The end result left the entire suite with the bare minimum. Fortunately, the Cupertino-based tech giant addressed the issue and promised to bring back missing features.

Some of the features that are expected to return include a customized toolbar, multi-column and range sort in Numbers, old transitions and builds in Keynote, as well as keyboard shortcuts for styles in Pages.

Apple offered a workaround solution for users

In the meantime, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) offered a workaround solution for users who need to access the missing features. Users can go into the “applications” folder to locate iWork 09, which is likely located on most Mac machines. It’s also suggested that users can revert their files they’re currently working on to iWork 09. There are two ways you can do this. Users can select “File” then “Revert To”. Users who are working on edited files can select “File” then “Export To”. From there, they can choose Pages 09, Keynote 09, or Numbers 09.

The new features are expected to come back in six months.

Apple will create separate iWork suites

It’s good to know that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is addressing this issue. With the immense popularity of mobile technology, it’s important to make special accommodations and changes for smartphone or tablet users. However, there is no reason to forget about those who are still using desktops and laptops. Perhaps Apple will create separate iWork suites next time to ensure everyone’s needs are meant.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products are the preferred choice for many companies and tech users. It’s vital to keep up with changes to meet the needs of consumers.
