Amazon's Black Friday Starts Tomorrow

Updated on

While certain to cause mayhem and perhaps even a few deaths in addition to denying hundreds of thousands dinner with their families, the online retail giant is doing its part by beginning its own Black Friday on Nov. 21. With brick and mortar retailers starting “Black Friday” earlier and earlier on Thursday despite suggestions that it’s a horrible practice for its workers, Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is starting a week early with hundreds of deals and steals.

“Our customers are redefining Black Friday shopping,” Steve Shure, Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) vice president of worldwide marketing, said in a statement. “They want to stay home with family, enjoy some turkey and football and shop the hottest deals from their phone, tablet or PC.”

Amazon’s tech offerings

Amazon has some fantastic specials that will begin tomorrow and this lineup is far from complete. But a few notable items include:

  • LG 65-inch 120 Hz LED TV, $648
  • Up to 45 percent off select Samsung TVs including: Samsung 40-inch Smart LED 4K Ultra HD TV for $598; and Samsung 55-inch Curved Smart LED 4K Ultra HD TV for $1,298
  • DSLR with two-lenses for less than $500
  • Over 50 Kindle books for $1.99 each including titles from Philip K. Dick and Ann Patchett
  • Panasonic Smart 3D Blu-Ray Player, $35
  • Select Beats Studio Over-Ear Headphones, $199.99
  • Save up to 20% on Intel-powered laptops and 2-in-1s

The list is just far too long but that is why Amazon has a page specific to its “Black Friday” offerings. On this page, the company will also add new deals as often as every 10 minutes for eight days straight, so bargain hunters may wish to bookmark that page now. The company will also be offering “thousands” of Lightning Deals for its shoppers. Amazon Prime members will be giving access to all the Lightning Deals 30 minutes prior to the general public.

Charity and 10 minute offerings

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) also announced AmazonSmile in order for shoppers to have Amazon give 0.5% of the items purchased to charity. Users do need need to log into the Smile site, but it will offer the same Black Friday deals so it’s worth taking the time to get to the Smile site.

The deals that Amazon will announce each 10 minutes will run the full gamut of its offerings including: patio and garden, arts and crafts, tools, home and pets, automotive, baby, fashion, jewelry, health and beauty items, toys, books, movies, music, sports, kitchen and wine (for those who live in states that allows wine delivery).
