WASHINGTON, D.C. – As new positive cases of COVID-19 crop up among officials in the White House and on the Hill, the president’s allies in the Senate are scrambling — not to secure additional relief for struggling American families and small businesses, but to reinforce their plans to jam through Trump’s SCOTUS pick. Even as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that he would delay reconvening his chamber for another two weeks, he was quick to point out that the delay would not slow down pushing Judge Amy Coney Barrett through the approvals process.
