Checkra1n adds support for iOS 13.2.3
The team behind the checkra1n jailbreak has now updated the tool to support iOS 13.2.3, and have released the same publicly as well. You can now download the Checkra1n 0.9.6 beta for Mac iOS 13.2.3. Prior to this update, checkra1n supported iOS 13.2.2, but after the release of iOS 13.2.3 by Apple, the checkra1n team was always expected to add support for the latest iOS version as well.
The checkra1n jailbreak is based on a powerful exploit, called checkm8. This exploit is not limited to a firmware version, but rather is bootrom-based. This means that the exploit executes into the device even before the OS comes into action. Also, Apple can’t patch it. Along with being powerful, this jailbreak supports all devices from iPhone 5s, or all devices running on Apple’s A5-A11 processor.
A point to note is that even after the latest update to checkra1n, the tool still carries the “beta” tag. So, we are still to see the official 1.0 version of this jailbreak tool. Since it is in beta, there are always chances of something going wrong, so it is recommended that you don’t use it on your primary device.
The chances of things going wrong are very slim, considering the amount of testing that the Checkra1n team is carrying out and the huge numbers of users that have already used this jailbreak tool. Still, it is always better to take precautions.

- Connect your device to the Mac using a USB.
- Launch the Checkra1n jailbreak app and make sure to grant it all permissions.
- After the app detects the connected device, click on the Start button in the app.
- Press Next.

iOS 13.2.3 update: what’s new?
Talking of iOS 13.2.3, it is a minor update that fixes a few known issues. According to Apple, the update fixes the following issues:
- Fixes an issue where system search and search within Notes, Files and Mail may fail to work.
- An issue, where photos, links, and other attachments did not show up in the Messages details view is fixed.
- An issue that prevented some apps from downloading content in the background is fixed as well.
- The latest iOS update also fixes an issue that prevented Mail from showing new messages.
- The issue of Exchange accounts not including or quoting the original message content is also fixed.
In terms of security, the iOS 13.2.3 does not have any published Common Vulnerabilities and Exposure (CVE) entries. Apple, however, says that the iOS 13.3 (in beta testing currently) will come with support for FIDO2-compliant security keys.
