The $2,399 model will het you a 2.6 GHz 6-core ninth-generation Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.5 GHz, a solid-state drive with 512 GB of storage, 16 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM and AMD Radeon Pro 5300M graphics with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory.
The $2,799 model will get you more storage and a better processor. It offers a 2.3 GHz 8-core ninth-generation Intel Core i9 processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.8 GHz, a solid-state drive with 1 TB of storage, 16 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM and AMD Radeon Pro 5500M graphics with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory.

The Verge especially likes the new keyboard, explaining that it gets rid of the butterfly mechanism Apple has included on MacBooks in recent years and has returned to scissor switches. All the new 16-inch MacBook Pro models have a 16-inch Retina display and measure 0.7 millimeters thicker than last year’s model, which should help with the thermal throttling issue involving the processor.
