LAREDO, TX – Today serves as yet another reminder of why Rep. Henry Cuellar is Trump’s favorite Democrat, bought and paid for by the same donors who fund private prisons and Trump’s corruption. “Congressman Cuellar’s friends in the private prison industry spend big on giving to politicians like Rep. Even major banks have cut ties with GEO Group because they've seen their harmful practices. That's why I'm proud to not be accepting a dime of corporate PAC money."

Geo Group and bank financing

A few months ago, several major banks — including JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, SunTrust, BNP Paribas, Fifth Third Bancorp, Barclays, and PNC Bank — announced they would “not renew $2.4B in credit lines and term loans to industry giants GEO Group and CoreCivic.”

In addition to Rep. Cuellar, other top recipients of GEO Group PAC funds this cycle include the Trump Victory Committee, the Republican National Committee, the NRCC, NRSC, and Senator John Cornyn (R-TX).
