After years of a break and silence in media, Selena Gomez is set to release a new album. To promote her new album she released a new song called “Lose You to Love Me,” followed by a music video now available on YouTube. The new Selena Gomez Music video used a new approach in video production, with the popular singer opting to use the iPhone 11 Pro to showcase its new capabilities with emphasis on its new triple-lens camera.
The singer posted a tweet thanking her fans for patience, promising a great album to come. Her new song became available Tuesday at midnight.

The new Selena Gomez music video is now available on the singer’s official YouTube channel, while part of the video was showcased on Apple’s official YouTube account. Apple is working on its new campaign called “Shot on iPhone” where it highlights all video projects that were shot using an iPhone, particularly the new models.
Apple’s iPhones are the leaders in the smartphone market when it comes to camera capabilities, next to the Korean Samsung, and Google Pixel phones. The iPhone models are great for shooting videos because they support 4K video recording at 60fps and other similar options.
The most recent models, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, are equipped with the most recent camera upgrades that make shooting smoother, sharper and more detailed. The iPhone 11 Pro in particular is equipped with “night mode” which enhances images in the night and dark ambients in general. There is also a 4K video upgrade with more dynamic and more cinema-like video stabilization at 60fps. The iPhone 11 Pro is also equipped with an ultra-wide camera that supports large angles.
Given that the new iOS 13.2 update is underway and currently in the developer beta, once it comes out and brings the innovative Deep Fusion camera functionality for the new iPhone, there’s no doubt more professional-grade videos shot on iPhone 11 Pro are to emerge.
The Selena Gomez music video is not the first instance where Apple’s iPhones have been used for video shooting. It has already been used to shoot short films as well as other movies and TV show episodes. The “Modern Family” episode titled “Connection Lost” was recorded using the iPhone. Also, one month before Maroon 5 released its hit song “Wait,” it recorded a Snapchat version which used every Snapchat filter available and shared it on Spotify and Vevo. The video with filter was shot using iPhone.
