After being swallowed into an infinity black hole and shocking players around the world, Fortnite is back. Epic Games, the company behind one of the most popular Battle-Royale games in the world announced the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 trailer, along with all the necessary info that describes what the game will look like once the new chapter launches.

The game became unplayable during the afternoon hours of Oct. 13, ahead of the beginning of the new season. The whole event was pretty dramatic; the players could see a meteor that has been present since season X. It covered the entire map at around 2:00 p.m. EST, ending it with the sight of a black hole in the distance. The game became unplayable after that, with gamers around the world being able to do nothing but stare into the black hole.

The players took to Twitter to share their views to see if others were facing the same issues, concerned that everything they had put hard work into would be gone. PlayStation even had to release a statement (As per The Verge) in which it confirms that the game isn’t gone and that the money spent on it wasn’t gone for good. The statement on Tweeter has now been removed.

Now, after some time of waiting, the game is back with the Fortnite Chapter 2 season 1 trailer being released. The trailer reveals a new, creative-looking map and various other bells and whistles that players will be able to take advantage of. More details were revealed in the 2-minute long trailer.

The new map sports a lot of water, making the combat and shooting system even more engaging than it previously was. The addition of water also means that the company included additional functionality like fishing, swimming and using boats for transport. The trailer also promotes teamwork as you can see players being able to carry their team to safety or heal them through the healing bazooka when they need to recharge.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 trailer is adding helpful environmental tricks. Players will now be able to camouflage themselves in haystacks, or blow up explosive barrels to distract their enemies, or ambushing them.

Epic Games also introduced novelties into the combat system. There will be a more streamlined choice of weapons which players can upgrade. Also, the company aims to reduce the grinding that so many players were dissatisfied with in other games. Finally, there is a new XP system for the battle pass and players will be awarded medals that they earn through matches. The rewards and an improved XP system ensure that players will grind less for having the top-notch items.

The new chapter is now live and if you want to see the trailer, you can see it below.
